played at the West Side Tennis Club before it moved to the USTA National
Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Park. When the Open was played at the
tennis stadium, the tournament was commonly referred to merely as Forest

While Forest Hills is easily accessible by car
and parking is usually plentiful, make sure you do
not park in the Forest Hills Gardens area off of
71st Ave., just South of Station Square and Austin
Street. These are all Private Streets and your car
will be booted if you do not have a Resident Permit.
Make sure to read all street signs very carefully!
