Forest Hills Eruv Information
Be sure to call 718-544-6898 on Fridays to find out the eruv status.
FH/RP Eruv map as of 2021:
(Green is fences or walls. Red is wires. Purple is the Kew Gardens eruv)
Boundaries* of Forest Hills Eruv (clockwise from top):
- Long Island Expressway - Service Road
- Grand Central Parkway - Service Road
- Union Turnpike
- Abandoned LIRR track south of Metropolitan Avenue (new eruv extension)
- Woodhaven Boulevard
* PLEASE NOTE: sidewalks located on boundary streets may or may not be contained within the eruv.
Kew Gardens connection:
The purple line indicates the start of the Kew Gardens Eruv, and its status can be checked by calling 718-849-ERUV (3788) . The connections can be made via the Austin Street underpass and by crossing at Markwood Place which becomes Park Lane (DO NOT stay on Union Turnpike).
Kew Gardens Hills connection:
The Forest Hills-Rego Park Eruv has been upgraded to securely connect with the Kew Gardens Hills Eruv via Jewel Avenue (this connection is not included on this map). One can carry from one area to the other only via Jewel Avenue (not 69th Road), assuming both Eiruvin are up. You can check the status of the Kew Gardens Hills Eruv by clicking here.
The Forest Hills Eruv is not maintained or owned by the QJC; this page is for informational purposes only.
