Herbert Schonhaut

Senior Gabbai

Herbert Schonhaut has served the QJC as Gabbai for over 20 years. He also serves as Bal Tefillah and coordinates the daily Daf Yomi shiur as well as the shul’s Annual Appeal and Journal Dinner. His entire family, parents a”h, sisters, nieces and nephews were or are currently QJC members.

Herb has a Masters Degree in Transportation Planning from Brooklyn Polytech and worked at the New York City Transit Authority as a Transit Planner and Manager for 32 years. He is currently a student at RIETS’s Belz School of Jewish Music, pursuing a Cantorial degree.
