IMPORTANT INFO - COVID19 IMPACT: We are open on a modified minyan schedule. Shiurim will be available online and by call in. The office is open on a limited basis and by appointment only. Please check the QJC COVID19 page on our website and the QJC Facebook page for important QJC information and to see what the shul is offering. It will be updated regularly so please check back for updates. Also, please check Rabbi Kerbel's blog for more information.
With Shavuot coming up, there are some programs and resources that I would like to remind you of specific to this time. Please scroll down for flyers and images.
We are in the process of putting together the QJC Shavuos Reader. We will send it out as soon as it is ready. Thanks to those who contributed.
Pre-Tikkun Leil Shavuos Shiur with Rabbi Kerbel followed by Yizkor will take place Wednesday evening, May 27. The shiur will take place at 7:30 pm, and Yizkor will take place at 8:15 pm.
In light of our not being able to gather together for shiurim on Thursday night, which may make it even harder for people to stay up through the night, Yeshiva University is offering a program over the course of Wednesday night. I am happy to be a partner in their endeavor and to invite everyone who wishes to participate to join. Please click here for more information and see the flyer below, which was made for our shul.
As we will be spending the upcoming Yom Tov apart, Eliana and I invite everyone to join us for Havdalah virtually on Motzaei Shabbos at 9:30 PM (twenty minutes after Shabbos ends), using the same Zoom information as usual.
Please also check out the following Torah resources:
Please see the HaMizrachi collection of Divrei Torah for Yom Yerushalayim and Shavuot.
Please see the YU-to-Go for Shavuot, with articles that pertain to this particularly challenging time.
The OU has put together a website called "Sinai at Home." You can print out source sheets to learn over Shavuot. Some have English translations and some do not.
