IMPORTANT INFO - COVID19 IMPACT: We are open on a modified minyan schedule. Shiurim will be available online and by call in. The office is open on a limited basis and by appointment only. Please check the QJC COVID19 page on our website and the QJC Facebook page for important QJC information and to see what the shul is offering. It will be updated regularly so please check back for updates. Also, please check Rabbi Kerbel's blog for more information.
Beginning this Shabbos, we are excited to be able to offer a small kiddush after both minyanim. I wanted to let everyone know that this is happening and what the protocol is.
Each person will receive an individually wrapped cake/brownie and juice.
If weather permits, kiddush will be made outside in the sideyard.
Chairs will be set up in a socially distant fashion.
While masks obviously cannot be worn while eating, please have a mask on when you are not eating.
Even outside, please be careful to keep appropriate physical distancing, especially if you are not wearing a mask at a given moment.
We ask that people stay in the side yard for about 10 minutes only. The gate may be locked at that point. We are not yet ready to have the full-blown social kiddush that we usually have.
If weather does not permit, one person from the minyan will make kiddush inodoors, and everyone will take their food home to eat.
With the exception of the person making kiddush, nobody should eat inside at any point.
Sponsors are encouraged! Please reach out to office@myqjc.org if you would like to sponsor.
As many of us would like to see shul move back towards as much of a sense of normalcy as possible, we are happy to be able to provide kiddush, however small it is. We hope that, with everyone's cooperation with the guidelines, we can continue with this going forward.
Many thanks to Larry Raubvogel and Zvi Erenyi who have been instrumental in making this happen. If there is anyone else who would like to volunteer in any capacity with this, please be in touch.
