This Shabbos will mark the 11th yahrzeit of Moreinu Harav Joseph Grunblatt zt"l.
I had planned to print a couple of his articles that were published in the Tradition Journal. As I was going through them the other day, I was enthralled by the timeliness and timelesness of his ideas and the depth of the wisdom expressed in these short articles. I wrote some reflections, which Tradition graciously published on their blog in time for the yahrzeit, as part of their "archives" feature. The articles are available by PDF, linked in my piece, and will also be on the handout table for Shabbos. I will add that I did this with some trepidation, as I am certainly not an expert in his thought and cannot claim to have a true grasp on the breadth and depth of his thought, so I hope I represented his ideas well and ultimately felt that some tribute for the wider public is in order.
